Amelia’s first birthday session was everything a cake smash should be—sweet, silly, and full of joy! She brought all the charm to her session, from wide-eyed wonder to frosting-covered fingers. These portraits capture not just the milestone of turning one, but the bright personality and love that surround her every day. In the first moments of the shoot, I learned the importance of a strategic game of peek-a-boo to encourage the birthday girl to share her sweet smile with me and my camera. She sure kept them coming for the whole session! To make the most of the beautiful venue, we incorporated family photos as well as some sweet shots of the birthday girl's big brother and sister. And when the weather required a slight schedule adjustment, I grabbed some flowers for the kids to deliver to their mom for a beautiful Mother's Day surprise!
